Religions and mission in the Arab world
FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK
Well friends!

That was an interesting year, 2011, was it not? And what we will see happen in 2012 in the Arab World? God only knows.
But we, who work in serving our Lord Jesus Christ in the Arab World are not troubled too much: we will not be moved. Did our Lord ever promise that serving him in mission would be easy?
The December issue of SFM contains a variety of articles than may help you in your ministry in the Muslim world; and if you are interested to share with the wider world what you have learned in ministering to Muslim, please feel free to submit your articles or ideas for articles to us

May our Lord Christ bless you in the new year.

PRAYER: Iran: Update on Maryam and Marzieh in Tehran

Issued on 10th April 2010

Greetings in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace

We requested prayer on several occasions last year for Maryam and Marzieh, Iranian believers from a Muslim background (BMBs) who were arrested in Tehran on 5th March. Recall that they twice appeared before the Revolutionary Court where they were pressed to recant their faith in Christ. They were released on 18 November, pending further court hearings.

A court hearing has now been set for Tuesday 13th April.

It is understood that they face charges of propagating Christianity and apostasy (i.e. leaving Islam). A third charge of anti-state activity was dropped at their last hearing in October.

Maryam and Marzieh have both been in poor health since their release from prison.

Iranian Christians supporting Maryam and Marzieh request our prayers that:
a.  They will know the presence of God in the midst of their trial
b.  The peace of God will protect their hearts and minds and keep them safe
c.  The outstanding charges will be dropped and they will be set free
d.  They will completely recover from their illnesses and be strong physically, mentally and spiritually
e.  All officials involved will act mercifully, justly and compassionately, and will learn about and be drawn to Jesus' love for them
f.  The Iranian government will stop regarding Christians as being anti-government and therefore a threat.
