Posted 24th May 2010
Greetings in the name of Jesus, the Good Shepherd We recently requested continued prayer for Maryam and Marzieh, two Iranian believers from a Muslim background (BMB) who were summoned to a court hearing on 13th April. Recall that they were arrested on 5th March 2009 and detained until 18th November. We are pleased to report that they have been acquitted of all charges against them – Praise the Lord! Iranian Christians thank us for our prayers. However, Maryam and Marzieh were warned that if they engage in any further Christian activity in Iran there would be severe consequences. Therefore, they left Iran on Saturday (22nd May) and arrived safely in another country. Iranian Christians supporting these two ladies request our continued prayers that: a. They will adjust quickly to living in another country b. They will be able to rest and recover following their 14 month ordeal c. God’s provision and guidance for their futures will become clear d. Other Iranian believers facing court hearings will be acquitted e. Christians across Iran will be able to meet appropriately for worship, teaching, prayer and fellowship f. All officials involved will act justly, love mercy and be exposed to the truth of Jesus Open sources used: Elam Ministries, FCNN
